Joy Mining Machinery has over 90 years experience as a global leader in the development, manufacture, distribution and service of underground mining machinery for the extraction of coal and other bedded materials.
Joy manufactures longwall shearers, roof supports, face conveyors, stageloaders, continuous miners, batch haulage vehicles (shuttle cars and battery haulers), continuous haulage systems (continuous chain haulage and flexible conveyor train), and bolting products (mobile, on-board and portable) for use in longwall and room and pillar mining operations.
Joy has the world’s largest and most extensive aftermarket service and support infrastructure in place of any underground equipment supplier. Service centers and warehouses located in all key mining regions provide 24/7 support for JOY equipment. With over 240 service engineers around the world, our customers have a tremendous depth of technical resources they can rely on.
Our Life Cycle Management program will help our customers better manage their equipment to maximize production. Joy’s Smart Services program, being rolled out worldwide during 2009, will ultimately maximize our customer’s assets by providing better machine availability, utilization, minimal downtime and reduced costs.
Joy's vision is to be the leading global supplier of underground mining systems and services in partnership with our customers to enable them to consistently produce at the lowest cost per ton over the life cycle of the equipment.
