Atlas Copco has received one of the largest ever contracts for its Construction and Mining division. Mexico's silver-mining company Fresnillo plc has ordered underground drill rigs for production and rock reinforcement, and loading-haulage equipment, valued at US$45 million.
The equipment will be used for an expansion of the Fresnillo silver operation, which is already the biggest silver mine in the world. Deliveries will start in the second half of this year.
