Loading & Hauling

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) has recently supplied its tenth EH3500ACII haul truck machine to Talvivaara nickel mine in Finland. The trucks have been supplied by Hitachi's Finnish dealer, Rotator.

Since production began at the mine in October 2008, Rotator has supplied Talvivaara with an on-site parts supply, and a parts and service team of 19 people. They are responsible for the service and maintenance of the two Hitachi EX3600-6BE excavators and the fleet EH3500ACII trucks at the mine.

Both excavators are capable of loading 3,200t/h, equal to 20 truck loads. The EH3500ACII dump trucks travel at a speed of 40km per hour on the site and empty a load into the crusher approximately every two minutes.
