Blastcrete Equipment Co has launched a new product designed to mix and pump concrete for underground mine sealing, stabilisation, grouting and other shotcrete applications.

Featuring Blastcrete’s X-10 high pressure swing tube pump, Mine Mate was created at the request of customers seeking to apply shotcrete in underground coal applications. It utilises the wet-mix shotcrete process to minimise dust emissions.

Mine Mate features a compact, low-profile configuration and can be used in operations with ceilings as low as 1.2m.

The unit is capable of mixing and pumping 9.2 cubic metres of concrete per hour and can pump material in excess of 152m horizontally and vertically. Additionally, the hydraulic pump can run in reverse to eliminate line pressure from the delivery line should a hose plug.

Available power options include a V3600, 66hp Kubota water-cooled diesel engine or 50hp electric motor with starter and disconnect. The machine can also be equipped with a material screw conveyor, with bin indicator for charging the continuous mixer.
