DEM signs Indian distribution agreement with CAEZEN

DEM Solutions, a world leader in discrete element modelling software and services has announced the appointment of CAEZEN Technologies as a distributer for its EDEM software to the growing particle simulation market in India.  

The appointment of CAEZEN Technologies follows the successful sale of EDEM to one of India’s largest multinationals in the minerals, chemical and materials industry. The use of EDEM in the simulation of materials handling and processing equipment reduces the need for physical prototypes and shorter development times.  

Ian Williamson, sales vice president at DEM commented: “We see many great opportunities in India for the rapid adoption of EDEM as a key development tool. CAEZEN Technologies will provide our customers with the highest level of local technical support and training.”

However, there is a huge opportunity in India for driving efficiencies in the area of bulk material handling of granular flows. EDEM’s unique capabilities for modelling particle-particle, particle-structure and particle-fluid systems will allow us to serve our existing customers from the mining, oil and gas sectors across India who deal with bulk handling.
