Gekko’s South American office has reported the sale of the company’s 100th InLine Leach Reactor (ILR) unit. The sale marks not only an impressive milestone for intensive cyanidation, but also the first sale for Gekko into Brazil.

Mineracao Caraiba’s Nova Xavantina project took delivery of the unit in October 2011, which was pre-commissioned at Gekko’s manufacturing facility earlier that month.

Gekko also recently commissioned its first Mexican ILR installation at La Cienega, located in Durango, Mexico. The La Cienega mine site, owned by Industrias Penoles, is in the process of expanding capacity and the ILR (model ILR150BA) will be an important component of the project.
