On October 16, Larox celebrated the inauguration of its new production plant in Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu province, China. Larox has been represented in China for a number of years by its local agent Filterox, but the company feels that opening a subsidiary demonstrates its long-term commitment to the Chinese mining and metallurgical industries.

Topi Karppanen, president and CEO of Larox explained: “As a leading global supplier of industrial filtration solutions, Larox's strategy is to grow, and to offer local service worldwide. China is a very important market for us, and we want to serve our Chinese customers in the best possible way.”

Larox has seen an increasing demand for filtration solutions from the Chinese market in recent years, particularly with the introduction of targets and programs aimed at reducing industrial energy consumption and emissions.

A total of 30 new members of staff were recruited to the Chinese office to support the 15 existing Larox China employees. The company plans to establish a local spare parts warehouse in Suzhou to improve delivery times and customer support.
