MineWare, a leading a leading provider of monitoring technology for heavy mining equipment, has secured a preferred supplier agreement with BHP Billiton-Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) to supply dragline monitoring and intelligence solutions across all BMA sites in Queensland, Australia.

MineWare CEO, Andrew Jessett, said “We are extremely proud to be associated with BMA and secure our long term relationship with them. We offer a unique, highly-consultative partnership approach to working with clients, understanding their operations and investigating long term business improvement solutions.

“Together with our commitment to service, innovation, and research and development, this approach was a key factor in securing this win and strengthening our growing presence within the national and international mining industry.”

Mr Jessett said MineWare’s vendor engagement model was also a key driver in securing the BMA partnership and other new client contracts. He said it enabled MineWare to remain focused on its core areas of specialisation - technology, development, training and business intelligence.

“We are delighted with this outcome and look forward to supporting BMA by delivering enterprise wide improvements in production, capacity, safety, staff training and communication,” Mr Jessett said.

Since its establishment in 2005, MineWare has enjoyed a significant relationship with BMA, developing and installing its dragline monitor systems for a number of the company’s key sites. MineWare’s Pegasys dragline monitor has also been adopted by BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa.

MineWare’s latest remote, mobile monitoring systems collect and expose a wide range of dragline information for on and off board analysis including mine plans, GPS stamped production data, delay reporting, detailed PLC information, strain gauge data and video camera footage.
