Drilling & Blasting

AMS has launched its new Compact Roto-Sonic 26-T (CRS 26-T) drill rig, designed for mineral sampling and exploration in soft rock. The rig is also suitable for drilling tailing piles and leach ponds, and can be used for site investigations with specialty samplers such as the AquaLock piston sampler, which collects core samples in a variety of conditions, including loose sand and saturated sediments.
The CRS 26-T combines both rotation and vibration drilling techniques to drill deeper, faster boreholes. The combination of rotation and sonic vibration provides a much higher down-hole cutting action, facilitating drilling in more competent semi-consolidated geologic formations.
