Sandvik inaugurates new factory

On September 17, Sandvik Mining and Construction inaugurated its largest production facility to date in the Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone, China. The new 24,000m2 facility has the capacity to produce most of the products in the Sandvik Mining and Construction product range, from drill rigs to crushers and loaders.
Lars Josefsson, president of Sandvik Mining and Construction commented: “This new facility demonstrates our commitment to our customers, suppliers, distributors and personnel in Asia. It has been a great achievement to finish construction of the facility and begin operating in just one year, and it will increase our manufacturing flexibility a great deal when it comes to capital equipment.”
