Sandvik supplies Bolter Miners to Shendong

Sandvik has received a major order from Shenhua Energy Co’s Shendong coal production centre in China. A total of seven low-profile MB670 Bolter Miners will be supplied to the company, with delivery commencing in May 2010.

The MB670 Bolter Miner is equipped to simultaneously cut a rectangular shaped roadway and install roof and rib bolts, and is capable of achieving advance rates of up to 50m per day.

Shendong Coal is responsible for the development and construction of the Shenfu Dongsheng mining area in the border zones of Inner Mongolia and the north of Shaanxi province, as well as the Baode Coal mine in the Shanxi province of China.
