Crushing & Conveying
Sandvik has received an order for a semi-mobile crushing station from Shenhua Baorixile Energy Industrial Co, part of the Shenhua Group. The station will operate at the Baorixile lignite mine, an open-pit operation with a production of 5.8Mt/y, situated in Inner Mongolia. The order was signed on June 10, 2009 with a delivery date set for February 2010 and commencement of operation planned for March 2010.
The order comprises of a primary CR610 centre sizer, and two sets of secondary CR620 side sizers. The primary crushing stage has a capacity of 3,000t/h, with a feed size up to 2,200mm and an output product size of up to 300mm. Each secondary crusher has a capacity of 2,000t/h and an output product size of up to 50mm. The station has been designed to work well at temperatures down to -45°C which are often experienced in this region.
Sandvik was awarded the contract due to its ability to provide a strong technical proposal to the customer. The order is particularly significant for the company, as the station will be one of two semi-mobile crushing stations in operation at Baorixile mine. The other was delivered by another supplier.
Jianbin Gao, senior sales manager at Sandvik Mining and Construction, China said: “China is a market with considerable business potential and we are aiming to devote additional efforts to marketing our Sandvik equipment here. We now see a major opportunity for our semi-mobile crushing stations to operate in China.”
