India's mineral production up by 12%

The index of mineral production of mining and quarrying sector noted that mineral production in September 2023 was up 11.5% from last year.

67.3 Mt of coal were mined, followed by 34.7 Mt of limestone and 19.5 Mt of iron ore.  The largest growth was in manganese ore production (51.5%), closely followed by gold (22.8%) and iron ore (17%)....
