Finnish telecoms and tech company Nokia has expanded its industrial-grade private wireless networking portfolio, aiming to help sectors such as mining get closer to their Industry 4.0 goals. According to senior director of enterprise marketing Houman Modarres, Nokia’s mining customer base is “ramping up very quickly” as it seeks to be the industry’s “networking partner of choice"

To date, Nokia said it had deployed private wireless networks for more than 120 customers across enterprise verticals such as transportation, energy and manufacturing.
