Epiroc has extended its offering of electrification solutions, including a new range of flexible charging products, to meet the growing demand from mining companies looking to use battery electric vehicles.

The company said its new charging products encompass several different models, fixed and mobile, to ensure that the battery-electric vehicles can be charged at any time or place.

The Epiroc chargers come with a connectivity option, and customers can easily monitor their charging products remotely through a cloud service.

Frederik Martinsson, commercial manager Rocvolt, Epiroc, said the company's ambition is to be a total solutions provider for customers' electrification journey, providing everything from battery conversions and other related services.

Besides chargers, Epiroc is already offering Batteries as a Service (BaaS) which removes the risks associated with owning batteries.

The Epiroc solution provides all the benefits of electrical power. The company said it takes responsibility for the batteries, from certification to maintenance plus technology upgrades, using a genuinely circular business model that provides the battery operation as a service.
