The facility will make and assemble multipurpose mining vehicles and accessories for the country’s mining market to improve productivity, safety and efficiency.

Officials for the company, which is a joint venture between Normet Group and JCHX Mining Management, said the new factory will help accelerate its expansion.

Finnish-based Normet’s underground and tunnelling line-up includes equipment, construction chemicals, rock reinforcement products and services such as Utimec, Variomec, Charmec and the Himec lines.

The facility’s opening follows an April 2017 announcement by Normet that it had inked the Chinese JV.

“This joint venture agreement is in line with Normet strategy to develop an even stronger foothold in China, and with an experienced industrial partner like JCHX this will happen faster,” Normet president and CEO Robin Lindahl said at the time.
