The historic chimney near the present-day mine

The mine has produced over 72,000t of copper cathodes during the course of its life. Historic mining activity first occurred in the area in the early 1900s. This chimney is all that remains of the original settlement camp that mined Carlota's underground high-grade copper and silver veins.
