Buriticá is a two-hour drive from Medellín, Colombia

Officials said that assay results were still coming in from the lab for the mine's infill and exploration drilling programme that was undertaken in the latter part of last year.

With production scheduled this year at the Antioquia site, Buriticá will extract from the Yaraguá and Veta Sur veins.

Continental has called its 100%-owned project one of the largest and highest-grade gold projects in the world.
