ETG said that earthmoverDIRECT.com is the mining industry’s first web-based platform exclusively for OTR tyre end-users. The site integrates a comprehensive informational resource with a secure forum for the sale and procurement of OTR tyres via direct transactions between actual OTR tyre users.

Steps have been implemented to ensure the platform remains accessible only by end-users, including representatives of mining companies, individual operations, mining contractors, and OEMs.

In the past, OTR tyre imbalances have caused prices to fluctuate significantly leaving mines with extremely difficult decisions to make.

Tomy Szczypiorski, vice president of ETG, explained: “As an industry, we have stood idly by watching the OTR tyre market being severely taken advantage of. Our goal was to provide end-users a proactive way to take back control.”

ETG’s vision for the project was to provide the mining community with a safe, secure, and fair marketplace to satisfy a variety of demands, while also having the opportunity to educate themselves on the tyre market.

“In the past, end-users have lacked a certain level of real and reliable information for making sound tyre procurement decisions,” Szczypiorski added. “By utilising earthmoverDIRECT.com, end-users will now have an increased capacity to make safe and well informed decisions in the best interest of their companies.”
