Komatsu Australia releases 980E-4 truck

Komatsu Australia has released its largest ever electric drive haul truck. The 980E-4 electric-drive has a payload capacity of 363t and is powered by a Komatsu SSDA18V170 Tier 2 engine, rated at 2,611kW which, in combination with its GE Mining dual insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) electric drive system, provides a top speed of 60km/h
