Pennsylvania-based fluids supplier Quaker Chemical has received shareholder approval of its plan to combine with fellow fluid provider Houghton International.
PRESS RELEASE: The company said September 7 that the approval to proceed was received at a special meeting of shareholders with 99% support.
While the deal is still pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions, Quaker said it should close on the transaction by the end of this year or in early 2018.
No financial or logistics details on the companies’ combination has yet been released, and response to a request for additional details was not received by press time.
