Production was suspended at the Jimblebar mine for several hours after an unspecified "string of low-level safety incidents," wrote the Australian Financial Review.

Two autonomous trucks collided at the mine in March 2019. The company had attributed the accident to heavy rain and noted that no one was hurt.

The site has been a staging ground for autonomous trucking technology tests since 2014.

BHP had been contacted for further comment but were yet to respond.
