Simpec is a construction contractor with specialist experience in both structural mechanical and piping (SMP) and electrical and instrumentation (E&I) works

Australian industrial conglomerate WestStar has three arms: concrete fabricator Precast Australia, construction contractor Simpec and property developer Distinct Developments.

In the 2019 financial year WestStar was awarded contracts valued at A$50 million.

The A$5 million in extensions includes original awards with Simpec's existing clients in the structural, mechanical and piping and electrical and instrumentation fields.

Simpec managing director Mark Dimasi said having delivered a strong pipeline of contract awards over the past year, Simpec continued to consolidate its position and build its credentials on major projects.

Dimasi said Simpec continued to tender for work.
