PRESS RELEASE: The coolants’ release is the culmination of an effort by PrixMax to reduce environmental impact, the company said, as well as the desire to set a sustainable action benchmark for the industry.

The development began when the company retained independent environmental auditors to conduct carbon footprint assessments for its glycol-free, advanced RCP coolant product range for heavy duty engines.

From there, it entered an emissions reduction programme and offset purchases with Australia’s Carbon Reduction Institute so it could supply the market with its now-certified coolants.

“We believe that we should be doing our part to help address the issue of human-impacted climate change by reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and moving towards greater levels of resource efficiency,” PrixMax said.

“PrixMax's push towards offering the market environmentally sustainable and responsible engine coolants has been met with enthusiasm in the mining industry in particular, with mines increasingly looking to deliver carbon-neutral operations within the next decade.”
