Trencor
Built To Take A Beating. And Give One Right Back.

With more than 75 years of excavation experience across various disciplines all over the world, Trencor understands the grit and power it takes to be successful in this industry. From trenching, mining, quarrying and construction, Trencor has an established global presence.

Trencor's hard-rock heritage started as Jetco in California building teeth and trencher components in 1945. Over the years, the company evolved and moved to become part of Astec Industries in 1988. In 2012 Trencor was sold to The Charles Machine Works, Inc. and was moved to West Salem, Ohio, to be manufactured by American Augers. As part of American Augers, Trencor has become industry-known for being the best trencher and surface miner for processing hard rock conditions. In 2021, Trencor became a part of the Ditch Witch Division, which was formed to bring together the Trencor, Ditch Witch, American Augers and Subsite brands.

The rugged and proven Trencor trenchers are built to combat the challenges of today's large-diameter pipeline installation projects and tough ground conditions. Designed with ideal weight, power and size, Trencor trenchers maximize productivity for a wide range of trenching applications, including water and sewer, power transition and oil and gas distribution.

The mechanical drive feature on Trencor trenchers reduces tooth wear to prolong the chain life and minimize downtime needed to replace the chain. Each trencher is also equipped with a crumb shoe to ensure a clean trench for easy installation of water, gas, and oil products. Equipped with a CAT engine and digging chain options with widths up to 5 feet (1.52M), Trencor trenchers are built to withstand the toughest soil and hard rock conditions with ease. Each of these features allows for optimal operator efficiency by increasing productivity and minimizing downtime.

Trencor surface miners have been used all over the world, from around-the-clock limestone mining to roadway and construction site work. Equipped with an innovative mechanical drive system, Trencor surface miners allow operators to select between multiple drum speeds while still delivering high torque and full horsepower. Trencor surface miners provide operators with a clean, even cut up to 14 feet (144.5M) wide and 3.5 feet (1.1M) deep, helping operators cut through solid rock and hard-packed soil with ease. With advanced load control software, telematics and drum speeds, Trencor surface miners can meet the most challenging formations and productivity requirements around.

Each of Trencor's trenchers and surface miners are equipped with telematics for remote monitoring and support, allowing operators to more easily manage their fleet, provide timely maintenance and increase uptime.

Trencor trenchers are sold and serviced through the global Ditch Witch dealer network to provide world-class parts, service and support to all underground construction professionals at each and every stage of the machine's lifecycle. Additionally, Trencor provides expert training on the jobsite, in the classroom or out in the field, ensuring that both new and experienced crew members can safely and properly operate the equipment. With expert knowledge, jobsite solutions and support behind every job, operators can increase productivity and uptime on any jobsite.

Since 1945, Trencor has hand-crafted the hardest-working, heaviest-duty, large-track trenchers on the market. With the addition of surface miners, and every new model and advancement since, Trencor machines remain the toughest machines on the market that can help get any job done.
