Digital Transformation is now considered a strategic initiative for Mining organizations. 74% of mining executives say that digitalization has the most significant impact on productivity and know that digital transformation will substantially impact their operations and financial results. The Mining industry is getting significant value when using and leveraging data - engineering and operational data - to help them improve their operations. As a result, companies are moving towards their digital transformation journey. However, in some cases, they struggle by not knowing where and how to start executing a successful strategy for their digital transformation journey.

Change is hard. The truth is that many mining companies are still very hesitant about furthering their digital mining transformations in fear of cost, uncertainty, and mostly, fear of the unknown. However, mining companies need to know that technology across the 3rd platform - cloud, Big Data, analytics, and mobility - is critical to reshaping operations. These technologies will re-engineer processes and activities within the mining industry.

This webinar introduces a trilogy webinar series that will guide you through the different steps to implement a successful digital transformation journey. We will start by looking at the value we can get at each journey stage and how each step of the digital transformation journey can help address current industry challenges and trends. Some of the topics covered include:

  • Engineering a future mine or plant with a digital approach, taking into consideration dynamic simulation to ensure proper operator training before operations even start
  • Implementing a proper operational data platform as a foundation for continuous improvement initiatives
  • The optimization of mining operations using predictive analytics combined with a proper asset information management strategy.

We will also discuss some critical aspects mining organizations face with their supply chain challenges and the ultimate idea some envision: a global Unified Operating Center. We will also share some great customer stories from Mining companies that successfully followed such a journey with us.
