Zenith Energy's subsidiary Zenith Pacific has inked power purchase agreement (PPA) amendments to build, own and operate (BOO) the power station expansion, giving it an increased capacity of 12MW total. It will achieve the expansion with Jenbacher 620 spark ignition gas generator technology.

The PPA is also extended by 52 months.

Plutonic, which has been powered by Zenith since 2014, is targeting the June quarter to put the expanded capacity online.

Billabong Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian-based Superior Gold. Plutonic is located about 800km northeast of Perth.

Once Plutonic's upgraded power facility is online, its total BOO capacity will total more than 232MW.
