The 128-year-old drilling services and products company has been based in the US since 2005, when it moved to Salt Lake City from Johannesburg, South Africa.

The headquarters' move comes after the opening of its operations centre in June 2017, which brought numerous sites to one location. The facility now holds a manufacturing plant, distribution and service centre, engineering and drilling services personnel.

Now that the remaining administrative and corporate offices have also been moved, Boart Longyear officials are targeting the end of June to have all of its Utah employees and entities under one roof.

"This move into one building unifies our efforts for improved communication and productivity," president and CEO Jeff Olsen said. "We are now better positioned to remain competitive and add more value when responding to customers' needs."

Worldwide, Boart Longyear employs 4,900 people and has office locations in North and South America, Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific.
