PRESS RELEASE: The South Kalgoorlie gold mine underwent a recent ownership change when Northern Star Resources acquired the 16-year-old mine from Westgold Resources in March 2018. The acquisition of the South Kalgoorlie site, about 50km from Northern Star's Kundana operations, includes the project's operating processing facility and 800km2 of prospective gold tenure.

EHS Data's MonitorPro is an environmental management system that has been fully operational in Northern Star gold mines for several years. This latest site acquisition has allowed the EHS Data team to successfully implement a hosted MonitorPro desktop solution bringing the newly acquired mine site in-line with the other five Northern Star-owned assets. The results have allowed the environmental team at Northern Star to streamline its reporting structure by replacing the old spreadsheet system into a single, centralised source of data for the entire environmental operations.

Phil Ely, managing director at EHS Data, said: "The EHS Data team are committed to providing new and existing clients excellence in both innovative technology and service. We look forward to working with the environment team at South Kalgoorlie."
