The project was deemed fully connected on July 11, following a final check of the plant's hook-up infrastructure by power distribution engineers from SEAL Arequipa, a member of the regional distribution grid.

Dynacor will see an annual cost savings of about US$400,000 (pre-tax) now that the 900 kilowatts of diesel-generated power the project utilised is no longer needed. Officials said the change will also significantly reduce its carbon footprint.

In 2017, Dynacor produced a combined 79,897oz of gold. Its production guidance for 2018 is between 90,000oz and 94,000oz.
