The company said its HPGR retrofit kit takes the key components responsible for minimising skew from its HRC range, and makes the technology more accessible without the major investment or need to acquire a new machine.

"We are very excited to introduce the new flanged roll with mechanical skew control HPGR retrofit kit which allows customers to maximise the performance of their existing equipment without the CAPEX investment of purchasing expansion machines. The kit enables a potential 20% increase in throughput, improved energy efficiency and reduced circulating loads, said the company.

The release comes a week after the company launched its HRCe grinding mill range, which it says will improve energy efficiency by up to 15%, lower circulating load by up to 24% and increase throughput by 19%.

The HRCe eliminates edge effect by evenly distributing the material - which also maximises the amount of crushed material during the process - as a result of the flange design and anti-skew assembly, said Metso Outotec.
