The OptiFlox system will be installed at the tailings thickener, with installation to take place during the December quarter. The approval of the trial follows extensive on-site technical evaluations by SciDev personnel.

OptiFlox is SciDev's range of polymers specifically tailored for the treatment of process water and wastewater in mining and minerals.

The trial aims to optimise water recovery, consumable usage, reduce operational engagement and provide operational insights from the generation and analysis of process data.

A successful trial may result in a long-term contract for the installation of an OptiFlox system. In addition, management expects opportunities for chemical sales agreements to materialise should a system be installed on a longer-term basis.

This OptiFlox system installation will represent the fifth installation in Australia across four industries: thermal coal extraction, dairy manufacturing, coking coal extraction and mineral sands production.
