PRESS RELEASE: Mastermyne has been engaged to undertake roadway development in the gate roads, including initial set-up work and conveyor installations.

The project will commence mobilising from October 2017, and the scope includes the full management and supply of equipment and skilled personnel to execute the works under the contract. The contract will employ approximately 55 full-time personnel and has a projected duration of approximately 18 months, generating revenues of A$33 million (US$26 million) over the life of the contract.

Mastermyne will deploy a continuous miner and ancillary development equipment from its own fleet for the project.

So far the company has already placed three continuous miners into operation at various mines in 2017.

Mastermyne CEO, Tony Caruso, said: “We are very pleased to have secured this new project and we are looking forward to building a strong working relationship with Whitehaven’s Narrabri coal operations. This project builds on the already very strong order book we have for FY2018 with furtheropportunities still in the pipeline.”
