Silver Bullet has begun commissioning a mill in Arizona for its silver projects in the U.S. state.

The mill will have a capacity of 125 million tonnes per day, Silver Bullet said.

"The field team overcame global supply chain issues to create a functioning 125 MTPD mill, in a location that was an empty field only last September," chief executive A. John Carter said.

"We are looking forward to processing ore as quickly as possible."

Commissioning will take place over the next few weeks. SBMI will run water through the mill to check for leaks, test each motor both individually and sequentially, and track conveyors for speed and consistency.

SBMI will also adjust the crushers to proper settings and insert the ball charge.

Following the verification of a wet run with water, SBMI will then install ancillary equipment.

The company has contracted Sepro Mineral Systems, which manufactures Falcon Concentrators, to train SBMI mill crew.

Test material will be added to the mill once the mill has passed run-throughs.

SBMI will use lower-grade ore from its Buckeye silver project to serve as test feed, and not waste higher-grade ore.

The silver producer will begin to feed the mill higher-grade ore once commissioning is completed.
