Retrofit software from ABB

The open-pit mining division of ABB Automation has announced that it has developed a software tool to calculate the return on investment (ROI) for electrical and mechanical retrofits/upgrades of mining shovels and draglines. The project was done in close co-operation with the RWTH Aachen University in Germany and its Institute for Open Pit Mining.
