Those multiple compounds are based on tonnes-kilometres-per-hour (TKPH) ratings to meet different surface mine application requirements.

The MS401 has an aggressive tread design with heat-resistant under tread, aimed at applications needing maximum traction and high site TKPH.

The MS402 features enhanced shoulder lugs and a solid centreline for increased protection, traction and tread life in haulage applications.

The MS403 comes with a tread designed for flexibility in applications ranging from smooth haul roads to rough and rocky terrain.

According to Maxam, the three tyres use newly developed compounding and carcase construction.

The MS401 comes in a 27.00R49 size; MS402 is offered as a 27.00R49 and a 30.00R51; and MS403 ranges from the 27.00R49 to 53/80R63.
