The company said the technology will be equipped with Dana TM4 high-voltage motors from 350 to 800 volts, designed to improve efficiency, cut total package size and provide necessary redundancy on a wide range of applications.

Such applications include small to medium-sized wheel loaders, large lift trucks and terminal tractors.

Additionally, the dual-motor version of the e-Powershift transmission will support continuous power outputs up to 240 kW, while the single-motor configuration is engineered for 120 kW of continuous output.

It will use propriety software designed specifically to optimise machine operation through numerous drive and PTO modes, including hill-hold and functional safety readiness.

Speaking at MINExpo 2021, Jeroen Decleer, senior vice president, Off-Highway Drive and Motion Systems, Dana Incorporated, said the purpose of the Spicer Electrified e-Powershift transmission will help Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to pursue e-mobility and general electrification.
