The new generation carrier can integrate the benefits of its entire fleet, offering either low horsepower, high horsepower, Tier 4 or its new Siemens battery drive package. Because it is a standard unit, parts are common and thus allows for better service and support – and a quicker build time on order.

Once at the site, the RAM40 offers a better sightline and increased visibility, providing greater safety for both the operator and the pedestrian working around the machine. All maintenance to the unit can be performed from ground level, making daily checks easier and maintaining it safer and more efficient.

“The name of the new RAM40 is a tribute to our roots and where we started,” company officials said, noting that RAM stands for Raymond Arthur Marcotte, the founder of Marcotte Mining. “We wanted to recognise where we came from but also create a machine that was new, innovative and spoke to our future.”

Marcotte, which produces the Minejack carrier line of utility machines for underground use, is based in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
