PRESS RELEASE: Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology won the supply deal with SUEK after the coal company broke several of its own cutting records with its existing Sandvik equipment.

The deal includes eight Sandvik MB670-1 bolter miners designed for longwall mining.

According to Sandvik, SUEK was impressed with the units it had in place already, as its three Sandvik MR340s and four Sandvik MB670s have set several cutting records over the past couple of years.

Along with the equipment, Sandvik and SUEK will work closely together to ensure all operators are fully trained, and that parts stock is readily available to minimise potential downtime.
