The GR2605 grader customisation project marks "a new milestone in China's equipment manufacturing", said XCMG.
It has also begun a project that will see it collaborate with Rio Tinto on customising its GR5505 mining graders.
"The customisation strategy has enabled XCMG to compete with the world's best mining equipment manufacturers in high-end markets," said Wang Min, chairman of XCMG.
The GR2605 grader project's success was a result of collaboration on its customisation that had created a "world-class" product, added Greg Courts, general manager of purchasing of Rio Tinto China.
XCMG's GR2605 features a Stage V-compliant engine, a load-sensitive hydraulic system and an emergency steering function.
The 19t GR2605's standard specifications are 209 kW rated power, with a Cummins L9 medium-duty engine, while the standard GR5505 specifications are 63t, 399 kW rated power and a Cummins QSX15 engine.
