Quebec Iron Ore chairman and CEO Michael O'Keeffe noted that the agreement’s signing provides it with a key component in its logistics strategy: ensuring long-term access to the largest global consumers.
Champion confirmed in June it had entered into a rail transportation deal from Bloom Lake to Sept-Îles, and the newest agreement with SFPPN provides a transport option for the remaining distance to the Pointe-Noire port facility.
