By combining technology, expertise and experience, the companies are creating a framework to facilitate the sharing of data among systems.

The companies said that the coalition adds to the “stable of integrations MICROMINE’s Pitram product has with major OEM’s and other vendors”. Pitram is ‘hardware agnostic’ allowing customers to have a single system to collect, store and report on multiple data sources. This provides a holistic view of operations for quick and confident decision making.

Boris Kurtsev, regional manager, Russia, CIS and Ukraine at MICROMINE, commented: “The main aim of the partnership is to introduce innovative technologies in the mining sphere here in Russia.”

MICROMINE said it envisages machine connections, such as the Sandvik integration, will enable a deeper analysis and understanding of how assets are operated. Historical operational data will contribute to future best practices, and enable various levels of autonomy in underground mining.
