Geoprobe unveils CPT crawler

Geoprobe has expanded its geotechnical line to include a cabin crawler for CPT

PRESS RELEASE: The 20 US ton (18t) 2060CPT cabin crawler is equipped with a 142hp engine/hydraulic system, which offers good climbing and turning abilities. The hydraulic controls, in turn, can be operated from either side of the low-profile CPT press. 

Other features include 20t downforce and 30t pull, wireless remote tracking, 7psi (48kPa) ground pressure, an auto seismic hammer for shear-wave generation, undercarriage camera, climate-controlled cabin, four outriggers, and an auxiliary bottom clamp to secure the tool string when the push clamp is released. 

CPT is a method used to the determine the geotechnical properties of soil, as well as mine tailings.
