The 3,553m² facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan, US, north of Detroit, includes 1,923m² of space for collaborative working and another 1,644m² dedicated to shop floor space.

Also included is a 297m² AM customer centre, equipped with two EOS M290 Direct Metal Laser Sinter (DMLS) printers. The DMLSs include powder bed fusion technology to create prototypes with a lead time of two weeks, and allow customers to test elements such as usability, ergonomics, manufacturability and materials in the development projects' early stages.

GKN and its 80-worker staff from its Hoeganaes, GKN Sinter Metals and GKN Additive subsidiaries cut the ribbon on the new office space on April 8^th.
