The award also opens additional doors for Diversus; specifically, it can now bid on general consultancy, business intelligence and analytics, and application services contracts.

The three-year deal can be extended by an additional two years, Australia-based Diversus confirmed.

The Diversus news comes just days after Sodexo confirmed it, too, had been awarded a Rio Tinto contract, specifically for the Argyle diamond mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Sodexo's deal for accommodation management, aerodome operations and other services runs through January 2021. Argyle is set to cease operations and transition to rehabilitation in late 2020.
