The SPT line of downhole gyro survey tools is now available for rent to customers of IDS, a subsidiary of US construction and construction materials company Granite.

The companies have been working together for 15 years already, through IDS' borehole deviation survey and directional drilling work throughout the US, Mexico and Canada.

SPT CEO Orlando Ramirez believes the new agreement between the companies will strengthen its position in the US market, as it can now offer its full range of downhole survey tools.

"The technology expertise and leading position of SPT combined with the US market presence and expertise of IDS will allow customers to improve their drilling process, reduce costs and improve results," he said.
