Goldstone Resources has poured its first gold at the Homase mine in Ghana.

The gold pour was completed during the commissioning of the Smelt House.

Goldstone produced smelt and gold bars weighing a total of 14.46 kg. The gold pour marks the restart of mining operations, which had been placed on hold in mid-September.

Homase's Elution Plant was commissioned in early November.

The gold pour allows the company to pay interest on a US$3 million secured gold loan secured in June 2020 from Asia Investments Management Services and avoid default.

Goldstone Resources must also pay the October and November interest payments in the next two weeks to avoid default, AIMS said.
