Jiangxi Jinhui Lithium, with which Desert Lion signed an off-take deal in March, has given the go-ahead for the first 30,000t shipment and will shortly begin processing the product at its facility in China.

An additional 60,000t will be sent from Desert Lion's sorting operations by the end of the September quarter to help prepare for the start of production from the plant facility in the December quarter.

In the meantime, Desert Lion is completing its mineral resource estimate, which will focus on exploration at the Rubicon and Helikon mines, and a preliminary economic assessment to examine the proposed phases of its production plan. Completion and presentation of that information is expected in the latter half of August.
