The supplier, which said the client would be using the semi-autogenous (SAG) mill and ball mill at a zinc concentrator plant, did not disclose the financial details; however, it noted that similar deliveries usually totalled approximately €20 million (US$22.3 million).

Deliveries of both mills to the facility should occur in 2021, with production expected to begin during the same year.

Outotec minerals processing business head Paul Sohlberg said its additions would be advantageous to the operator.

"Our unique grinding technology, such as the Outotec Polymer Hydrostatic Shoe Bearing (HSB) system, will provide excellent benefits to the plant from a mechanical availability perspective," he said.

"The Outotec Polymer HSB system will reduce both planned and unplanned downtime for the mills, thereby safeguarding the total annual capacity of the grinding circuit for our customer."

Outotec offers autogenous, semi-autogenous, ball, rod and pebble mills in sizes ranging from kilowatts up to more than 30 megawatts.
