The new two-storey building in a mixed-use complex called Avenue North is replacing the company's old headquarters in the city. It can house more than 200 employees and offers the company space to expand.
Senior vice president and chief financial officer Philip M. Patterson, Jr. said as its roots were in Delaware, Solenis was pleased to continue growing in the state.
"More than 200 employees have relocated to the building, and there's ample room to facilitate the growth we expect," he added.
Executives, global managers and company departments, such as human resources, marketing, IT and customer services, will reside in this location.
The US$3 billion specialty chemicals company, which serves water-intensive industries such as mining, employs over 5,200 professionals in 120 countries across five continents.
Patterson said Solenis was in "growth mode" and was aiming to retain and recruit more employees to better its overall value proposition and service offering.
